lucys first time at the valmont bike park.  she's a natural!  she got her strider bike this christmas and has been using it in the house but saturday we took her to the valmont bike park which was where the cyclocross race was a few weeks ago.  they have a kids area and lucy loved it.  she went over the mini hills like a champ!  so proud of her!

along with my friends i miss back in ohio here's my "mommy friends" i like to call them.  they kept me sane and still do despite the miles.  on our recent trip in november back home we met up at jodi's house.  just about everyone has two now or is preparing for the second.  good times!  miss this bunch!

continuing on with the previous post, here's more items that lucy has received from my friends!  they are also super crafty too!  they hand make all kinds of stuff!  most recently the girls have gotten together to pick up knitting.  they are always doing something fun together, i miss them!

can i tell you how blessed i am to have the friends i have in my life?  they not only love me and send me gifts and encouragement they send lucy items too!  they let me know they are thinking of my little girl and that is touching to me.  

thank you aunt audrey for bringing us back this cute hoody all the way from taiwan!  i asked for a picture and she struck her own pose!  

the cyclocross national championships we're held in boulder over the weekend.  it was fun to go watch. super windy though.  lucy liked watching the bikers go by, it motivated her to jump on her strider bike when she got home.  saturday we got to see the college women compete and then sunday was the pros. it was crowded and even windier on sunday.

sunday evening we pulled out the popsicle maker that kiley got for lucy.  pretty awesome! lucy loved it we mixed strawberry, banana, and honey together.  it was so yummy lucy devoured two of them!

thank you kiley!!  now to figure out some recipes to sneak some greens in.

wonderland lake all frozen up

new year, new hair

lucy got her hair cut for the first time ever this past weekend!  a little sad to think that hair cut off was her baby hair that she was born with.  lucy had a full head of hair when she came into this world.  

it was getting straggly at the bottom and definitely needed some shaping up.  so we cut a lot off!  she has a cute little bob now.  it makes her look older. 

she loved the whole hair cutting experience and asked to go back an hour after she got it cut.  not only did they have tv's with cartoons playing at every booth, they gave a lollipop at the end and asked her what color bows she wanted in her hair.  purple was the answer of course.  that just sealed the deal.
