shots

lucy had her third round of shots today.  they are considered her six month shots even though she's seven months.  she did great!  she's 16 pounds and 28 inches tall.  she's in the 40% for her weight and 92% for her height.  her weight is a little low we think because of all the weight she lost last week when she was sick.  but she's still perfectly fine according to the dr.  sometimes we don't realize that lucy might be a little giant until we see the numbers.  at story time this morning nate noticed that lucy was the same height as the little girl next to us who was 17months old.  we have a little giant!

lucy LOVES max.  she giggles and laughs any time she sees max.  she'll drop everything as soon as max walks into view.  she tries her very hardest to get his attention by squealing and waving her arms at him.  poor girl the cat barely acknowledges her and only runs farther away the more she squeals.  we let her pet max sometimes and its the cutest thing to see.  she can't stop giggling as you run her little hands over maxs' fur.  sometimes if you don't pay attention she'll take a great big handful of fur and yank and squeal.

max better watch out lucy's going to be on the move soon!

finally starting to feel better.  lucy is also feeling better too, she's gotten her appetite back.  its been a rough one, so i'll just leave you with some pictures from the past weekend...

happy 7 month lucy mae!

lucy is 7 months today!  i haven't gotten around to taking a picture of her today.  both lucy and i have been sick sick sick, yuck!  its a nasty bug.  she's got us so worried the last few days not eating anything and refusing the bottle.  despite being sick she's still in good spirits.  what a brave little girl.
she's out on a walk with her daddy right now so that i can get some rest.  so i better get back to resting.  i will have to do a proper post as soon as we all start feeling better.

we've bought balloons the last three times we've gone to the grocery.  for various celebrations.  by now lucy must think every time we go to the store we buy balloons.  

this is my 100th post on this blog!  i can't believe it really.  i look back to when i started this blog while pregnant with lucy and i never thought i would be so devoted to it.  mainly what keeps me posting is the thought that one day lucy will have this blog to look back and read.  as she gets older and older i realize how fast time flies when you have a baby.  the last six months have been the most joyous times in my life but also the most fleeting.  each little memory and smile from lucy i try to store away so i'll always remember this special time.  i hope one day she'll enjoy reading this and feel how special she has made our lives. =)

what a beautiful, gorgeous, fabulously sunny day!  i always love the first few warm days after winter.  there's something amazing about them.  the air is extra fresh, the sun feels warm and cozy and everywhere you look people are out enjoying the weather.  there's excitement in the air everyone is itching to get out after being pent up all winter.  i love it!  lucy and i were out all day soaking up the rays! 

we put lucy in front of the piano a few times a week and just let her plunk away.  she seems to like it pretty well.  sometimes if i play something she'll bounce and bob her little head to the tune.  its quite cute!  she seems to like music,  we also bought her a little wooden drum that she likes to bang on.  and when i play music for her on the computer she smiles and bobs to the music.

lucy woke up this morning with a cough.  poor little girl i think she may be coming down with something.  we've been pretty lucky in that she hasn't been sick very much.  i hope it doesn't become a full blown cold.  i was really hoping to take her to the zoo tomorrow, its going to be in the 70's.  i guess we'll have to see how she's feeling.
